Interaction Designer

Emmanuel Babalola

About Me

Hi, I'm Emmanuel Babalola, a UX/Product Designer based in New Jersey.

My journey into design didn't begin in a classroom. It started when I tried to build my first product - a dating app. I was told that design and development would cost $15K. When I asked, "What if I design it myself?" the answer was still $10K.

At the time, I thought design was simply drawing screens. But as I started researching, I discovered that behind every screen is an entire discipline - one focused on understanding people, behavior, systems, and decision-making. That discovery introduced me to UX design.

That curiosity led me to take the Google UX Design certification when it first launched. Very quickly, I realized UX wasn't just a skill - it aligned with how I naturally think: approaching problems like a founder, questioning assumptions, and caring deeply about how technology impacts people and society.

Today, I've independently designed and shipped 0 functioning products, owning the work end to end - from problem definition and UX strategy to interaction design and production execution using AI-assisted development. I focus not only on how products look, but on how they behave and how people feel while using them.

I'm driven by a simple belief: to build digital products that solve real problems, carry purpose, and leave a positive mark.

Always learning. Always designing. Always building.
